During the Pandemic of Covid-19, many are going through tough times. The world has never faced such a problem. Many are scared and helpless. P4 Technology have developed a Solution which tackles the problem head on. Working with government guidelines, our focus is keeping communities safe, our fantastic system allows us to do just that.

The Al Markaz ul Islami in Lidget Green, which serves as so much more than just as a Mosque, it is also a Community Hub, from its Food Bank to counselling staff at Bradford’s Hospitals, the Mosque has been at the heart of the community providing support during the pandemic in a very difficult time. Its multi-layer facilities make it the ideal location for P4 solution to help the communities get back to normality P4 Technology worked with their taskforces who were actively helping during lockdown and gifted the P4 solution – out of kindness to protect volunteers, visitors and teachers who were helping those in need.

We installed the P4 solution at the Al Markaz ul Islami. It provides four layers of protection. This includes Infection Identification, Spreading Control, Air Purification and Surface Disinfection.

Layer 1: The system measures the body temperature of every visitor on arrival, the P4 intelligent camera has the power to detect body temperatures up to 30 people in just one second. If anyone has a high temperature, they are immediately guided into a ‘Quarantine Room’ where they are checked again by trained volunteers, accurately log contact details and escort them from the building if they are potentially ill.

Layer 2: Visitors walk through a Sanitising P4 C Gate enclosure where they are sprayed with a sanitising solution. This will stop any viruses being carried into the Mosque by their clothing or belongings.

Layer 3: Once inside the main building, we have state-of-the-art P4 Air Purifiers continuously filtering the air and monitoring air flow to create a safe, clean and COVID-19 free environment.

Layer 4: Individual classrooms have a P4 desktop mister device installed to eradicate air-borne viruses, bacteria and impurities and the mobile P4 Fogging Machine can be use to sterilise the corridors and any hard to reach surfaces. The P4 solution provides an extremely safe and protected environment for all visitors of the mosque.

Mufti Qazi Hassan Razza, founder of Al Markaz ul Islami said: “COVID 19 has had a disastrous impact on people’s mental health and spiritual wellbeing. This new technology will ensure that we can work towards making our communities feel safe, protected and at greater ease when visiting a place of worship.

Dr Usman Hanif, a member of the Al Markaz medics team and a local GP said: “it will help the mosque ‘embrace change’ safely

Dr Hanif said: ”It is very important that we embrace change in order to combat the ongoing threat posed by Covid-19. Where modern technology can assist in making our faith institutions safer, we should be proactive to facilitate this. After much suffering there is ease for people insight. The P4 Technology Solution is one of many ways that Al Markaz has led the way in helping manage the impact of this virus.

Our launch event was attended by MPs Judith Cummins (Labour, Bradford South), Naz Shah (Labour, Bradford West), local councillors and the neighbourhood policing team. Ms Cummins said: “I am extremely pleased to see that the Al Markaz ul Islami is being proactive in its approach to tackling the spread of this deadly virus and it is doing all it can to ensure the safety of the community. This system is the first of its kind in the UK and I am proud that it has been installed at a Mosque in my constituency.

Meanwhile Ms Shah said: “Al Markaz ul Islami has led from the forefront since the outbreak of COVID-19 and again, we see they (P4 technology) are providing a solution-based response to this unprecedented crisis. I congratulate the organisation and their team for all their efforts, especially in developing this new system.
